Kolkata-based TV actress Rupali Ganguly joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) impressed by Prime Minister Modi’s work. He joined on Wednesday ahead of the third phase of India’s Lok Sabha elections.

At the joining ceremony, Rupali said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his work attracted him to the BJP. I really want to join this great development. Whatever I do next, I want your blessings.

“I want to follow in the footsteps of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and serve the citizens in whatever role I am given,” he said. I want to work under the guidance of Amit Shahji and make all my leaders and workers proud of me.

Rupali Ganguly’s induction ceremony was held at the BJP party headquarters in Kolkata. Several senior BJP leaders including Maharashtra BJP leader Vinod Tawde were present in it.

While welcoming Rupali Ganguly to the party, BJP leader Vinod Tawde brought up Samajwadi Party leader Maria Alam’s ‘vote jihad’ and attacked the opposition.

Recently seeking votes for the Congress-led India Bloc candidate from West Bengal’s Farrukhabad Lok Sabha seat, Maria Alam called for ‘vote jihad’ and said that the BJP needs to be removed from power in the current situation for the sake of the minority community.

Responding to Maria Alam’s comments, Tawde said that the opposition, who are spreading lies, have now started campaigning for vote jihad. It means they are upset.
