The new price has been increased by Tk 1550 for the best quality i.e. 22 carat gold bars.

Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) announced this decision in a press release on Saturday.

According to the notification, the price of acid gold (seasoned gold) has increased in the local market. So considering the overall situation Bajus has decided the new price of gold. This price will be implemented from Sunday.

Before this, the price of gold was reduced in the eighth phase. Among them, Bajus reduced 3 thousand 138 taka on 23 April, 24 April 2099 taka, 25 April 630 taka, 27 April 630 taka, 28 April 315 taka, 29 April 1155 taka, 30 April 420 taka and lastly on 3 May 1878 taka in gold. The price of the best quality gold has been reduced by 10 thousand 262 taka in 8 consecutive steps.

Bajus has increased the price of gold again after 8 consecutive reductions. According to the new price of gold today (May 4), the price of one bar of 22 carats (11.664 grams) of gold has increased by Tk 1 lakh 10 thousand 213.

The price of 21 carat gold has been increased by Tk 1 thousand 3. A load of gold of this quality will cost 1 lakh 5 thousand 198 taka.

The price of 18 carat gold has been increased by Tk 863 to Tk 90 thousand 174.

And the price of traditional method gold bhari has been increased by Tk 712. A load of gold of this quality will cost 74 thousand 988 taka.
