The day temperature dropped by a few degrees to below 40 degrees Celsius. After the extreme heat, the intense heat wave disappeared. Apart from this, the Meteorological Department recorded the maximum temperature of 41.2 degrees Celsius in Chuadanga, 40 degrees Celsius in Ishwardi and Mongla in Pabna on Friday. However, the highest temperature on Saturday was recorded at 38.8 degrees Celsius in Jessore, 39 degrees Celsius in Ishwardi, 38.2 degrees Celsius in Mangla and 38.5 degrees Celsius in Chuadanga. The maximum temperature in Dhaka has decreased from 38.1 degrees Celsius to 36.9 degrees Celsius.

It rained at two places in Chittagong and Sylhet divisions from Friday evening to Saturday evening. Comilla received the highest rainfall of 37 mm during this period.

Meteorologist Kh. Hafizur Rahman said that in some places of Sylhet division and two or two places of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Barisal and Chittagong divisions, there may be rain with gusts or gusts of wind or thunder, along with scattered hailstones at some places. Elsewhere in the country, the weather will remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky. Day and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country.

He also said that mild to moderate heat wave is flowing over Dhaka, Rajshahi, Khulna and Barisal divisions and it may continue.

On the other hand, the weather forecast for the inland river ports till 1 pm on Saturday said, 60 to 80 km per hour from west or north-west direction over Bogra, Pabna, Tangail and Mymensingh areas. Temporarily gusty winds with gusty rain or thundershowers are possible. The river ports in these areas have been asked to display the No. 2 naval warning signal.

Besides, over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka and Sylhet regions from west or north-west at 45 to 60 km per hour. Temporarily gusty winds with heavy rain or thundershowers may occur. The river ports in these areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1.
