The Malaysian High Commission in Dhaka has issued an urgent notice for travelers to Malaysia and applicants seeking e-visas.

The announcement states that maintenance work has begun on the official Malaysian e-visa website as part of technical upgrades aimed at improving system performance and long-term stability. As a result, all e-visa–related services have been temporarily suspended starting Tuesday (10 February) and will remain unavailable until further notice.

In a statement released by the Malaysian mission in Dhaka on Tuesday, authorities said the website malaysiavisa.imi.gov.my will not be accessible to the public during the maintenance period. Submission of new visa applications, as well as approvals currently under process, have been put on hold.

Officials added that services will resume once the system upgrades are completed, and an official announcement will be made at that time. Applicants who require urgent assistance during the suspension period are advised to contact the authorities via email at VLN-helpdesk@tridimas.com.my.

The High Commission expressed sincere regret for the temporary inconvenience and said it hopes to restore full services as quickly as possible.
