The brutal genocide by Israel against Palestinians continues unabated, with Israeli forces carrying out mass killings of children, women, and innocent civilians. This has become one of the most horrific genocides in history.
On Tuesday, April 8, protesters gathered in front of the National Press Club to condemn Israel’s cruel massacre and barbaric attacks in Palestine. Speakers at the human chain event expressed their outrage over Israel’s ongoing violence.
The event was chaired by the president of the organizing group, Mohammad Zafrul Alam, who described Israel’s actions as the most brutal genocide in history. He called for renewed efforts to boycott Israeli products in Old Dhaka, urging the community to take a stand by rejecting Israeli goods. Zafrul Alam emphasized two ways of protesting: seeking divine justice for the oppressors and continuing the boycott.
Vice President Mostafizur Rahman Mostak condemned the Israeli occupation of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, considering it a severe attack on the religious sanctity of Muslims, which is unacceptable.
General Secretary Mahmud Salehin mentioned that both the Bangladesh government and various organizations have condemned Israel’s barbaric actions against Palestinians, including the Old Dhaka Journalists’ Forum’s protest today.
Other speakers included Joint General Secretary Mustakim Nibir, Organizing Secretary Nargis Zui, Publicity Secretary Shariful Haq Pavel, Sports Secretary Ahsan Habib Suman, Cultural Secretary Yusuf Dipu, International Secretary Babar Kabir, Tanvir Raihan, and Moinah.
