The BNP’s Standing Committee has called an emergency press conference, as announced by BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan on Thursday afternoon. The event is scheduled to take place at 4 PM at the party chairperson’s political office in Gulshan, Dhaka. Senior members of the Standing Committee are expected to be present.

According to party insiders, the committee aims to outline its top-level stance on recent national and international developments. A series of internal meetings have been held over the past few days, and decisions made during those sessions will be shared during the briefing. One senior committee member is expected to deliver a prepared statement.

Additionally, sources indicate that BNP is actively opposing the inclusion of student affairs advisers in the current caretaker administration. With verified information about the roles of two such advisers, the BNP has taken a firm stance against their participation in the interim government. The party has already formally demanded the removal of National Security Adviser Khalilur Rahman, as reiterated by BNP leader Ruhul Kabir Rizvi in a separate press event held earlier in Nayapaltan.
