Civil Procedure Code to be Amended for Faster Case Resolution: Asif Nazrul

Law Adviser Dr. Asif Nazrul has announced that the Civil Procedure Code is being amended to ensure faster and more affordable resolution of legal cases. Speaking at a legal aid discussion organized by the National Legal Aid Services Organization on Saturday (June 14) in Bailey Road, Dhaka, he highlighted the government’s initiatives to make the justice system more accessible and efficient.
Dr. Nazrul stated that various steps have already been taken, including specialized training for judges, to ensure fair justice for all. He also mentioned that the Legal Aid Act is being revised to help people escape the prolonged burden of court cases. According to him, smaller and negotiable cases will soon be made subject to mandatory settlement through the Legal Aid Services.
Earlier, Dr. Nazrul emphasized in a separate message that accountability is inevitable, reminding everyone that ultimately, they are answerable to a higher authority.
