Islamic speaker Mufti Gias Uddin At-Taheri and 16 others — along with 50–60 unidentified individuals — in Bijoynagar, Brahmanbaria. Following this, police have already arrested two of the accused.

In response to this, Allama Syed Imam Hayat, the founder of the World Sunni Movement and the initiator of the World Insaniyat Revolution, said in a statement to the media:

> “Although he (Gias Uddin Taheri) is not a follower of the true path of Ahl-e-Sunnat centered on the Ahl-e-Rasul (peace be upon them), this case against him is unjust. He spoke the truth in protesting the blasphemous conspiracies of the enemies of Allah — the devilish Wahhabis — who oppose the celebration of Eid-e-Azam, an act of faith to commemorate the blessed arrival of the Beloved Prophet (peace be upon him) on the 12th of Rabiul Awwal.

> He (Taheri) is not the one dishonoring the status of the Prophet (peace be upon him); rather, those who filed this case — the Wahhabis — are the true enemies of Islam and the ones who insult the honor of the Messenger.

> We, the World Sunni Movement and the World Insaniyat Revolution, strongly condemn and protest against this unjust case and the wrongful arrests.”
