Veteran Bollywood and Marathi film actor Nana Patekar has died at the age of 75, bringing an end to a remarkable career that spanned nearly five decades. According to hospital officials and family sources, the acclaimed actor passed away early Thursday morning after suffering a cardiac arrest at his residence in Dona Paula, Goa. Doctors reportedly performed CPR for approximately 45 minutes but were unable to revive him.

 

Born Vishwanath Patekar in Maharashtra, Nana Patekar became one of India’s most respected actors, known for his powerful dialogue delivery, intense screen presence, and ability to portray complex characters. He made his film debut in Gaman in 1978 and went on to build a distinguished career in both Hindi and Marathi cinema.
