Student Leader Used Fake Identity to Evade Arrest

Police have arrested Taufiq Hossain Rajon, a leader of a banned organization, during a special operation in Moulvibazar. He was taken into custody late on Saturday night, September 14.
The arrest was confirmed by Mohammad Mahbubul Haque, Officer-in-Charge of the Model Police Station.
According to authorities, Rajon claimed to be an assistant secretary of the Bangladesh Chhatra League central committee. He is also an accused in a case filed by members of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement. Investigators said he had been using a false journalist identity to evade arrest in the case.
