Yunus Attends Trump’s Reception in New York with Daughter
Interim government’s Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus is currently in New York, where he addressed the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly on Friday night.
Earlier in the week, on September 23, Yunus attended a reception hosted by former US President Donald Trump. A photo from the event, later shared on the Chief Adviser’s verified Facebook page, shows Yunus smiling alongside Trump and his wife Melania. Standing next to Yunus is his daughter, Dina Yunus, dressed in a sari and appearing cheerful.
The caption with the photo explained that it was taken during the reception in New York.
At the gathering, Yunus exchanged greetings with Trump and extended an invitation for him to visit Bangladesh when convenient.
Besides Trump, the Bangladeshi Chief Adviser also held conversations with several global leaders, including King Felipe VI of Spain, Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba, UN Secretary-General António Guterres, and Bhutanese Prime Minister Dasho Tshering Tobgay.
He also met US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Sergio Gor, the US Special Envoy for South and Central Asia, during his trip.
