51-Member Convening Committee Formed for Engineers Association of Bangladesh

Dhaka, September 15, 2025 — A new 51-member convening committee of the Engineers Association of Bangladesh (EAB) has been formed today, with Engineer Shahrin Islam Tuhin appointed as the convener. At the same time, a 35-member advisory committee of the association was also constituted.
35-Member Advisory Committee
The advisory committee will be headed by Chief Advisor Engineer A.N.H. Akhtar Hossain. Other notable advisors include former Members of Parliament Engineer Monzurul Ahsan, Engineer Golam Mostafa, Engineer Shahiduzzaman, and Engineer Fazlul Azim. The advisory panel also features distinguished professionals such as Engineer Riazul Islam Riju, Engineer Moazzem Rumi, Engineer Dr. Riaz Hasan Khondoker, Engineer Khalid Hasan Chowdhury Pahin, Engineer Harun-or-Rashid Harun, Engineer Enamul Haque, Engineer Iqbal Kabir Sagor, among others.
51-Member Convening Committee
The convening committee is led by Convener Engineer Shahrin Islam Tuhin, with prominent members including Engineer Shoaib Bashri Hablul, Engineer Khan Monzur Morshed, Engineer Abul Kashem Miah, Engineer Nurul Haque Nur, Engineer Shafiqul Islam Khan, Engineer Rakibul Islam Rokon, Engineer Dr. Mahmudur Rahman Manna, Engineer ATM Tanbir-ul-Hasan Tamal, Engineer KM Zahirul Islam Zahir, Engineer Shahadat Ahmed Masum, Engineer Abdullah Al Mamun, Engineer Shafiul Azam Fahim, Engineer Syed Mirza Galib, Engineer Hafizur Rahman, Engineer BM Imran, and Engineer Sanaul Karim.
Preparatory Committee Duties
According to the announcement, six members of the convening body—Engineer Abul Kashem Miah, Engineer Niyaz Uddin Bhuiyan, Engineer Shamim Rabbani Sonchoy, Engineer Sabbir Ahmed Osmani, Engineer Shafiul Azam Fahim, and Engineer Abdullah Al Mamun—have been assigned official responsibilities in the conference and council preparatory committee of EAB.
The declaration was issued by Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Senior Joint Secretary General of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).
