Mild to moderate heat wave has been flowing over four divisions including Dhaka for three consecutive days. People’s life has become unstable due to intense heat. In the meantime, the Meteorological Department has predicted rain in four categories.
According to the weather forecast for the next 24 hours from 9:00 a.m. today, there may be temporary gusts of wind or rain with thunder in one or two places in Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions. Along with this, there may be scattered hailstorms at some places. Elsewhere in the country, the weather will remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky. Day and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country.
Mild to moderate heat flow is prevailing over Rajshahi division including Tangail, Kushtia, Chuadanga and Rangamati districts and may persist. Discomfort may persist due to an excess of water vapor.
According to the Meteorological Department, today the highest temperature of the country was recorded in Rajshahi – 39.2 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature in Srimangal is 20 degrees Celsius. Yesterday it rained in Netrakona and Sylhet.
According to the synoptic conditions, the western low pressure area is located over West Bengal and adjoining areas. Seasonal normal low pressure is located over South Bay of Bengal.
