DU VC Expresses Concern for Students

Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan, Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University, has expressed sincere regret over the unfortunate incident involving the seven affiliated government colleges. In a statement issued on Sunday night, he conveyed his deep sorrow and urged students from both Dhaka University and the affiliated colleges to exercise patience and maintain harmonious relationships.

 

Highlighting the current critical phase the nation is experiencing, he stressed the importance of unity and vigilance to prevent any third-party exploitation. Dr. Khan announced that an emergency meeting with the principals of the seven affiliated colleges would be held on January 27 to discuss various student-related issues under the university’s jurisdiction, which he hopes can be resolved through dialogue.

 

Additionally, he mentioned that other relevant matters would be brought to the attention of the government-formed committee for resolution and sought their cooperation in addressing the concerns.
