123 million hits in 30 minutes, over 33,000 tickets sold

In celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr, Bangladesh Railway has begun selling advance tickets for intercity trains. On the sixth day of sales, within the first 30 minutes, the railway’s e-ticketing website and mobile app received a total of 123 million hits from ticket seekers. During this time, nearly 33,000 train tickets were sold across the country, including Dhaka. According to a responsible source from Bangladesh Railway, ticket sales for March 29 began at 8 AM, starting with trains from the western region. In the first 30 minutes, 14,405 tickets were sold for trains leaving Dhaka, and a total of 18,546 tickets were sold nationwide for the western region. In total, 32,951 tickets were sold within the first 30 minutes. For March 29, there are 33,199 train seats available from Dhaka, and a total of 175,630 seats available nationwide.
