Storms at 60 km/h Expected, 8 Districts on Alert

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has warned that up to eight districts may experience sudden storms and thundershowers, with wind speeds potentially reaching 60 kilometers per hour. In an alert issued for inland river ports valid until 1 PM on Monday, April 21, it stated that temporary gusty or squally winds from the west or northwest could affect Rangpur, Dinajpur, Tangail, Mymensingh, Comilla, Noakhali, Chattogram, and Sylhet. These areas may also see rain or thunderstorms. As a result, river ports in the mentioned regions have been advised to hoist cautionary signal number 1. Additionally, another weather bulletin indicated that all divisions across the country may experience temporary gusty winds, lightning, and rain or thunderstorms in the coming days.
