To the people, the chief adviser of the interim government, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Yunus, urged the expatriates to send remittances through official channels. He made this call in his address to the nation at 7:30 pm on Sunday.

He said, one of our goals will be to ensure that every expatriate and returning migrant worker comes and goes to the country with dignity and respect. Action will be taken soon in this regard. My appeal to all those who are staying abroad, is to remit their earned money to the country through official channels.

The chief adviser said that this money is especially necessary to overcome the country’s economic crisis. We will consult them on what steps can be taken to make it easier for them to send money through official channels.

The chief adviser said, I believe in national unity. The government will work towards this goal.
