The Dhaka South chapter of Bangladesh’s student political organization affiliated with the BNP has unveiled a new partial committee for its Gendaria Thana unit, appointing fresh leaders as part of an ongoing organizational restructuring effort.

According to an official announcement, Shahabuddin Sikder Shakil has been named President of the unit, while Sazzad Hossain Leon will serve as General Secretary.

The newly approved committee also includes:

• Iqbal Hossain Saddam – Senior Vice President
• Md. Ibrahim Hossain – Vice President
• Salauddin – Vice President
• Arafat Islam Nishu – Vice President
• Md. Sadek – Senior Joint General Secretary
• Wahiduzzaman Jisan – Joint General Secretary
• Monir Hossain Opurbo – Joint General Secretary
• Entaz Mohammad (Niloy) – Joint General Secretary
• Tushar Ahmed Raj – Organizational Secretary

Party leaders said the newly formed committee has been instructed to submit a full committee within the next 30 days.

The move is part of a broader initiative aimed at strengthening grassroots organizational activities and increasing engagement at the local level. Political observers view the restructuring effort as a sign that the student organization is preparing for expanded activities across different units in the capital.

Sources within the organization say leadership restructuring is continuing in multiple districts and metropolitan units as part of a strategy to enhance coordination and strengthen local networks.

The Gendaria announcement is one of several recent committee reorganizations expected in the coming weeks.
