According to the statement, he later received no financial assistance and had to cover the medical expenses himself. He also said he was unaware of the current status of the case.

Meanwhile, repeated attempts to contact Dulal Hossain, father of slain Nadeem and plaintiff in the Nadeem murder case, as well as Aleya Akter, the complainant in the autorickshaw driver Tuhin murder case, were unsuccessful as both phones were found switched off.

Police say names will be removed if no involvement is found
Responding to such allegations from the complainants of the three cases, Narayanganj Police Superintendent Mizanur Rahman Munshi told reporters that if complaints are submitted, individuals found unrelated to the incidents will be removed under the new legal provisions. He added that even without formal applications, those found uninvolved during the investigation would also be excluded. The investigations are still ongoing.

Ivy served as mayor of Narayanganj Municipality from 2003 to 2011. Later, she went on to win three consecutive elections as mayor of the newly formed Narayanganj City Corporation.
