Meher Afroz Shaon Arrested in Dhaka on State Conspiracy Charges

Prominent actor Meher Afroz Shaon was arrested by the Detective Branch of Police in Dhaka’s Dhanmondi area today. Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Additional Commissioner (DB), Rezaul Karim Mallick, confirmed the arrest around 8:00 pm. Authorities stated that she was detained on charges of conspiring against the state. When asked about a formal case, officials said further details would be disclosed later. A notification from the DMP media wing confirmed that Shaon has been taken to the DB office for questioning.
