Head-on Collision Between Lorry and Autorickshaw in Pubail Leaves 2 Dead, 2 Injured

Two people were killed, and two others were injured in a head-on collision between a lorry and an autorickshaw in the Majukhan Nimtoli area of Pubail, Gazipur. The accident occurred on Sunday (March 23) at 10 AM on the Tongi-Kaliganj road in the Majukhan Pashchimpara area under the Pubail police station.
The deceased have been identified as Hanif Mia (35), the autorickshaw driver, a resident of Haiderabad in Ward 39, and Sabbir Alam (27), a resident of Majukhan Dakshinpara in Ward 40. The identities of the two injured individuals have not yet been confirmed by the police.
According to eyewitnesses, the autorickshaw was traveling from Tongi towards Mirer Bazar with five passengers when the accident occurred. Pubail police station Sub-Inspector Rafiqul stated that as the autorickshaw reached the Majukhan Pashchimpara area, it collided head-on with the lorry. The autorickshaw was severely damaged in the crash, killing the driver and one passenger on the spot. Locals rushed the injured victims to various hospitals for treatment.
