The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has decided to keep the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) unchanged for April. As announced on Sunday (April 6), the price for a 12-kg LPG cylinder remains at Tk 1,450 for consumers. In addition, the price of autogas has seen a marginal reduction of 2 paisa, bringing it down from Tk 66.43 to Tk 66.41 per liter, effective from 6 PM the same day.
This follows a previous revision on March 3, when the price of a 12-kg cylinder was reduced by Tk 28, setting it at Tk 1,450, after an earlier increase of Tk 19 in February that pushed the price to Tk 1,478.
Over the past year, LPG and autogas prices were reduced four times and increased seven times. Prices rose in January, February, March, July, August, September, and October, while they were lowered in April, May, June, and November. December saw no change in pricing.
