Hasnat Abdullah Bestows the Title of ‘Future Prime Minister’ on Nahid Islam on His Birthday

Today marks the birthday of Nahid Islam, the Convener of the National Citizens’ Party (NCP). On this occasion, Hasnat Abdullah, the party’s chief organizer for the southern region, extended his greetings and referred to Nahid as the “Future Prime Minister” of Bangladesh.

 

On Monday (April 28), around 5:30 PM, Hasnat shared a photo with Nahid on social media, captioned, “Happy Birthday. Bangladesh’s future Prime Minister Nahid Islam.” In the comments section, many others also joined in sending birthday wishes.

 

Nahid Islam and Hasnat Abdullah were key figures in the July-August uprising. Following the fall of Sheikh Hasina’s government, Nahid served as an advisor to the interim government, overseeing the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, as well as the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. However, on February 25, Nahid resigned from his advisory role to formally join the National Citizens’ Party (NCP).
