BNP leader Ishraq Hossain has called an urgent press conference to address the current situation of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), ongoing service activities, and the citizens’ movement in Dhaka. According to a statement from his media cell on Tuesday (June 24), the press conference will be held on Wednesday at 12 PM at the Abdus Salam Hall of the National Press Club.

The announcement stated that Ishraq Hossain will address various issues, including the ongoing protests related to DSCC, the current state of municipal services, and the recent comments made by Local Government Adviser Asif Mahmud, which Ishraq’s camp described as “disrespectful” and “misleading” in the media. He plans to strongly respond to these remarks during the briefing.

Meanwhile, after being closed for an extended period, the main gate of DSCC’s Nagar Bhaban reopened on Monday (June 23), and municipal services have resumed. However, Ishraq’s supporters are continuing their sit-in program alongside the ongoing developments.
