China has expressed its expectation for a free and fair election in Bangladesh. During a meeting in Beijing on Tuesday (June 24), Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong conveyed this to BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir. Sun stated that China is eager to work with Bangladesh’s next government and affirmed that Chinese support in sectors such as agriculture, industry, garments, healthcare, and infrastructure development will continue.
