Petrobangla Warns Against Recruitment Scam Attempts

Bangladesh Oil, Gas and Mineral Corporation (Petrobangla) has issued a warning about a fraudulent group attempting to deceive job seekers with fake appointment letters. In a press release on Sunday (July 13), Petrobangla revealed that the group has been using the name, address, and forged reference numbers and signatures of the corporation’s head office to issue fake recruitment documents printed on plain paper.
The statement clarified that all recruitment processes under Petrobangla and its affiliated companies are conducted strictly online. Currently, the appointment of initially recommended candidates for central recruitment is under process. Once finalized, official appointment letters will be published as notifications on the Petrobangla website (www.petrobangla.org.bd) and candidates will also receive SMS alerts.
The public has been strongly advised not to engage in any financial transactions based on these fraudulent letters. Anyone seeking information related to recruitment is urged to refer to Petrobangla’s website or contact the head office directly.
