The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has submitted its annual income and expenditure report for the year 2024 to the Election Commission. According to the report, the party recorded an income of approximately Tk 15.66 crore and expenditures totaling around Tk 4.80 crore.

On Sunday morning (July 27), a BNP delegation led by Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi personally submitted the report at the Election Commission headquarters in Agargaon, Dhaka.

Speaking to reporters afterward, Rizvi said that those who previously undermined democracy may attempt to sabotage future elections, and it is the government’s responsibility to resist such efforts.

He also criticized past election commissions, accusing the ruling party of appointing submissive officials to manipulate election outcomes. However, he expressed hope that the current commission would ensure a fair and credible electoral process.
