Retail Price of Loose Palm Oil Cut by Tk 19 per Litre

The government has lowered the retail price of loose palm oil by Tk 19 per litre — from Tk 169 to Tk 150 — in response to falling rates in the global market.
Commerce Secretary Mahbubur Rahman announced the revised price at a press briefing at the Ministry of Commerce in Dhaka, alongside Commerce Adviser Sk Bashir Uddin.
He noted that the price of bottled soybean oil will remain unchanged at Tk 189 per litre. Rahman also highlighted that palm oil accounts for roughly 60 percent of the country’s total edible oil consumption.
