Woman Dies as Ambulance Plunges into Ditch While Taking Husband to Hospital

A 45-year-old woman was killed when an ambulance veered off the road and fell into a roadside ditch on the Khulna-Satkhira highway in Dumuria upazila, Khulna district, on Wednesday.
The victim, Moyna, was the wife of Arif Molla from Mautla village in Satkhira.
According to Officer-in-Charge Fazlul Karim of Kharnia Highway Police Station, the ambulance lost control of its steering around 9:30 am and fell into the ditch. Moyna and her husband were en route to Khulna for surgery to remove a tumor from Arif Molla’s back.
Moyna was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead on arrival.
