BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is now in much better health compared to before. She is currently under medical supervision at her elder son Tarique Rahman’s residence in London. On Tuesday, speaking to the media over the phone from London, BNP Standing Committee member and her personal physician, Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain, confirmed this. He stated that mental peace has significantly contributed to her physical recovery.

When asked about her condition, Dr. Zahid said that while she is not fully recovered, she is much better than at any previous time. Regarding her return to Bangladesh, he mentioned that she would come back when her doctors at the London clinic deem it appropriate.

After nearly seven years, Khaleda Zia is now with her son, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren, which has significantly lifted her spirits.

On January 8, she traveled to London for advanced medical treatment aboard a special air ambulance sent by the Emir of Qatar and was admitted to a clinic there.
