119th Prize Bond Draw to Take Place Tomorrow, Wednesday

The 119th draw for the 100 Taka denomination prize bond will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, April 30. The first prize winner will receive 600,000 Taka. Currently, only the 100 Taka denomination prize bonds are available in the market. Prize bonds were introduced by the government to encourage savings across all segments of society, and they can be purchased or cashed at any time.

 

In this draw, the first prize winner will receive 600,000 Taka, the second prize winner will receive 325,000 Taka, the third prize winner will get 100,000 Taka, the fourth prize winner will receive 50,000 Taka, and each fifth prize winner will be awarded 10,000 Taka. The prize bond numbers eligible for each prize are based on the specific series drawn. Only those bonds sold within 60 days prior to the draw date are eligible.

 

According to the Income Tax Act of 2023, 20% tax is deducted at source from the prize money. The scheduled draw dates for the year are January 31, April 30, July 31, and October 31. If a public holiday falls on a scheduled draw date, the draw will be held on the next working day.
