The government is taking a new approach to bring Hasina back

Professor Asif Nazrul, Adviser on Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs, stated that the caretaker government is making every effort to bring back Sheikh Hasina and Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, who were sentenced to death for the killings during the July coup.
Speaking at a briefing at the Foreign Service Academy in Dhaka on Thursday (20 November), he said the government is even considering approaching the International Criminal Court to secure their return.
He also called on India to return the convicted individuals properly.
According to Asif Nazrul, a formal request has been sent to India, urging the country to repatriate Sheikh Hasina and Kamal and respect the people of Bangladesh’s demand for justice.
