On the first day of the new year, a Tesla Cybertruck explosion outside a hotel in Las Vegas resulted in one fatality and seven injuries. The hotel, Trump International, is owned by newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump.

Las Vegas Sheriff Kevin McMahill stated that the electric vehicle was parked near the hotel’s glass entrance when it suddenly exploded. Following the incident, Tesla CEO Elon Musk addressed the matter on X, suggesting that either a large amount of fireworks or a bomb inside the rented Cybertruck caused the explosion, emphasizing that it was unrelated to the vehicle itself, according to AFP.
