3,263 Appointed to Bangladesh Civil Service

The government has appointed 3,263 individuals to various entry-level positions in the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) through the 48th BCS (Special) exam-2025.

A notification was issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Thursday (January 22).

Appointments Made:

2,984 individuals appointed as Government Surgeons in the Health Cadre

279 individuals appointed as Assistant Dental Surgeons

The Public Service Commission (PSC) had announced the final results of the 48th Special BCS on September 11 last year.

The PSC had initially advertised 3,000 medical positions, including 2,700 Assistant Surgeons and 300 Assistant Dental Surgeons. Later, 500 more positions were added.

Currently, 4,523 doctors are in the process of being appointed through ongoing BCS exams. With the appointments from the 48th Special BCS, there will be no vacant positions left.
