Jatiyo Nagorik Party emerges under Nahid-Akhter’s leadership

A new political party named Jatiyo Nagorik Party has been formed under the initiative of the Jatiyo Nagorik Committee and the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement. Nahid Islam has been appointed as the Convener, while Akhter Hossain will serve as the Member Secretary.
The party’s chief organizer is Nasiruddin Patwary, with Hasnat Abdullah as the chief organizer for the southern region and Sarjis Alam for the northern region.
These decisions were made during a joint meeting of the Jatiyo Nagorik Committee and the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, held today from noon to the afternoon at the central office of the Jatiyo Nagorik Committee in Banglamotor, Dhaka. Four senior leaders from the committee, who attended the meeting, confirmed the party’s name and key leadership positions.
