A storm with wind speeds reaching up to 60 kilometers per hour may sweep across 11 districts of Bangladesh tonight, according to a weather alert issued by the Meteorological Department on Monday afternoon. The alert, issued for inland river ports, warns of temporary gusty and squally winds coming from the west or northwest, accompanied by rain or thunderstorms. The affected districts include Chattogram, Barishal, Mymensingh, Sylhet, Rajshahi, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Cox’s Bazar, Pabna, and Jashore. River ports in these areas have been advised to hoist cautionary signal number one.
