Chief Advisor Thanks India and Pakistan, Expresses Gratitude to Trump

Interim Government Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus expressed his gratitude to both India and Pakistan for agreeing to a ceasefire facilitated by the United States. In a statement released by his press wing on Saturday night (May 10), Dr. Yunus praised Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for their prompt decision to participate in the ceasefire and discussions. He also extended his deep appreciation to U.S. President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Rubio for their effective mediation.
Dr. Yunus reiterated his commitment to continuing support for diplomatic efforts to resolve differences between the two neighboring countries. Earlier in the day, President Trump announced the ceasefire on his social media platform, Truth, and India confirmed its authenticity later. According to Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, both India and Pakistan have agreed to a ceasefire across all land, air, and sea routes, effective from 5 PM Indian time.
