Nine former police station chiefs removed from service

The authorities have compelled nine police inspectors—who previously held officer-in-charge positions at different stations during the Awami League administration—to retire.
The decision was announced in a notice issued Sunday by the Public Security Division under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The action was taken under Section 45 of the Government Service Act 2018, a provision that enables the government to retire officials without explanation when deemed necessary for the public good.
