Bus set on fire in Mirpur area

Miscreants set fire to a bus of “Shatabdi Paribahan” in front of Sony Cinema Hall at Mirpur-1 in Dhaka around 12:30 pm on Wednesday (November 12).
Fire Service duty officer Rafi Al Faruk confirmed the incident, saying they received the report of the fire around 12:30 pm. However, the blaze was brought under control before firefighters reached the spot.
SI Md Ripon, the duty officer at Shah Ali Police Station, said a team had been sent to the location after receiving the report. Details of the incident are still being investigated.
Earlier the same morning, around 7:20 am, a microbus caught fire in Dhaka’s Uttara area. Two Fire Service units managed to bring the flames under control.
