A fire has broken out at a coil manufacturing factory in the Shirirchala area of Gazipur Sadar upazila. The incident occurred around 12:45 pm today, Wednesday, at a facility operated by a company named Finish.
Seven units of the Fire Service are currently working to bring the blaze under control. As of 2:30 pm, the fire had not yet been contained.
According to the Fire Service and several local residents, the fire started in the warehouse of the coil production factory around 12:45 pm. The flames quickly spread to other sections of the facility, and dense black smoke soon engulfed the surrounding area. Initially, two fire service units started efforts to control the fire, but due to the intensity of the situation, five more units were later deployed.
Mohammad Mamun, deputy director of Gazipur Fire Service, said that multiple units are actively working to control the blaze.
