Commemoration and Prayer on the 10th Death Anniversary of the Late Abdul Hai Milon

A memorial and prayer event was held on Wednesday, April 30, at 7 PM on the second floor of Hotel Al Salam in Fakirapool, marking the 10th death anniversary of the late Abdul Hai Milon, a distinguished son of Daganbhuiyan. The event was presided over by prominent organizer and banker Manjurul Alam Tipu, and conducted by Kamal Uddin, General Secretary of Daganbhuiyan Blood Donation.
Speakers who paid tribute through their heartfelt recollections included columnist Rintu Anwar, Freedom Fighter and General Secretary of Daganbhuiyan Foundation M. A. Rob, Chairman of Beacon Group Sakhawat Hossain, Chief Coordinator of Songjog–Nofel Nasir Uddin Masuk, Bangladesh Bank official Nurul Alam, Advocate Ekramul Haque, organizer Tajul Islam Liton, human rights activist Monirul Islam Monir, Jamal Uddin Member, Nizam Uddin, journalist Ekramul Haque, and poet Kutub Uddin, among others.
The speakers recalled that the late Abdul Hai Milon dedicated his life to the welfare of humanity. Known as a generous philanthropist and often referred to as a modern-day Hatemtai, his selfless contributions touched many lives. The commemorative event concluded with a prayer session led by Kutub Uddin through the hotel’s religious committee.
Abdul Hai Milon passed away on May 1, 2015, at a hospital in Dhaka. Renowned in his community for his philanthropic nature, he had been actively involved in various social organizations since his student days. He established numerous mosques in his local area and generously supported the sick, as well as schools, colleges, madrasas, temples, and other religious and social institutions.
This noble humanitarian was born in Enayetpur village under Yakubpur Union in Daganbhuiyan, Feni. His legacy of compassion and service continues to inspire.
