Jamaat Amir Consoles Afiya’s Family, Promises Permanent Home

Dr. Shafiqul Rahman, the Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami, visited the village of the late child Afiya in Magura, who was tragically raped and murdered, to offer condolences to her family.
He arrived in Jariya village of Shreepur upazila around 11:00 AM on Saturday. Accompanying him were MA Bakir, the Amir of Magura Jamaat, and other party leaders.
During the visit, Dr. Shafiqul Rahman spoke with the child’s mother and other family members, offering his condolences and sympathy. He assured them of his party’s support and assistance.
Dr. Rahman promised financial help to the family and pledged to build them a permanent house. He stated that Jamaat will always stand by the family and provide all necessary assistance. He also demanded the swift prosecution of the rapist.
