A powerful earthquake struck Bangladesh on Tuesday morning at 7:05 AM, marking the second tremor in just four days. While no immediate reports of damage or casualties have surfaced, the quake was felt across Nepal, India, Bhutan, China, and Bangladesh, according to Volcano Discovery.

 

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) reported the earthquake’s epicenter was located 93 kilometers northwest of Lebuche, Nepal, with a magnitude of 7.1 on the Richter scale and a depth of 10 kilometers.

 

Bangladesh’s Meteorological Department stated that the epicenter was approximately 618 kilometers from Dhaka, situated in a region of China.

 

This follows a previous earthquake on January 3, which registered a magnitude of 5 and was felt in areas including Dhaka and Sylhet.
