Faheem and Ripon’s excellent bowling holds Chattogram to a low total

Fortune Barishal restricted Chattogram Kings to just 121 runs with outstanding bowling performances from local pacer Ripon Mondol and Pakistani all-rounder Faheem Ashraf. The two pacers took three wickets each, contributing significantly to the team’s success. Chattogram’s batting struggled from the start after losing the toss, with Pakistani opener Usman Khan departing for 19 off 13 balls at 21 runs. Parvez Imon added only 1 run before being dismissed at 29, and Graham Clarke followed with just 8 runs.
Chattogram couldn’t recover from these early blows, despite captain Mohammad Mithun’s 35-run effort from 34 balls, which included two fours and a six. Lower-order contributions from Arafat Sunny (27 runs off 34 balls) helped them reach a total beyond 100. Faheem Ashraf’s medium-fast deliveries proved too tough for Chattogram, as he claimed 3 wickets for just 12 runs in 4 overs. Ripon Mondol also took 3 wickets, conceding 23 runs in 4 overs, while spinner Tanvir gave away only 14 runs in his 4 overs and took 2 wickets.
