I am an extremist: Aamir Khan’s confession

Bollywood’s “Mr. Perfectionist,” Aamir Khan, is known not only for his stellar acting but also for controversies surrounding his personal life. Like many other stars, he has had some bad habits, including smoking. At one point, his life became so unrestrained that he felt he lost control.
In a recent interview with actor Nana Patekar, Aamir revealed that cinema acts as a medicine for him. He admitted that he follows discipline only when working on a film. During the discussion, Aamir described himself as “undisciplined” in life. When Nana asked if he shows up on time for shoots, Aamir laughed and said he is punctual when it comes to films but struggles to maintain discipline in other areas of life.
Reflecting on his past, Aamir confessed to being a chain smoker and an occasional drinker. He recalled how his drinking sessions would sometimes last all night. Acknowledging his extreme nature, he admitted that once he starts something, he tends to overdo it, even knowing it’s not good for him.
However, he noted that his behavior changes while working on a film, which is why Nana advised him to keep making movies. Aamir shared his plans to work on fewer films, perhaps one every year or every three years.
Most recently seen in the 2022 film Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir is now preparing for the release of Sitare Zameen Par, co-starring Genelia D’Souza. Produced under his banner, the film is slated for release early next year.
