Online Bail Bond System to Launch October 15: Dr Asif Nazrul

Law Adviser Dr Asif Nazrul has announced that a new online bail bond platform will go live on October 15, aiming to simplify and speed up the process of releasing individuals granted bail by the courts.
According to him, the current procedure for releasing an accused person after securing bail involves around a dozen manual steps, during which many face harassment and unnecessary expenses.
“With the introduction of the new system, once bail is approved, the bond will be transmitted directly to the respective jail with just one click,” he said.
Dr Nazrul made these remarks while speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Attorney General’s Office internship programme, held at the Supreme Court Auditorium today.
He further noted that the Law Ministry has independently implemented several reforms without external assistance. “The online bail bond system—scheduled for pilot testing tomorrow—is one such initiative, fully funded by the government,” Dr Nazrul added.
