Professor Asif Nazrul, the legal advisor to the interim government, recently stated that many false cases are being filed in courts. Speaking at an event on Monday, December 30, in Dhaka, where financial assistance was provided to over a hundred martyr families in the second phase, he announced that a special legal support cell would be established within seven days to address cases related to the martyrs of the July uprising.

He emphasized that the issue of fraudulent lawsuits, often driven by monetary motives, must be addressed urgently. Alongside him, Fisheries and Livestock Advisor Farida Akhter expressed concern over ongoing threats faced by martyr families, reaffirming the government’s commitment to supporting them and holding Sheikh Hasina accountable within the country’s judicial framework.

Environmental Advisor Syeda Rizwana Hasan urged unity among citizens amidst divisive attempts, highlighting the importance of vigilance and determination to ensure justice. Meanwhile, Sarjis Alam, General Secretary of the July Martyrs Memorial Foundation, reiterated that martyr families are not seeking financial aid but justice for the killings.
