Home Affairs Adviser Lt Gen (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury urged the public to avoid taking the law into their own hands and called on police to strengthen efforts in maintaining law and order nationwide. Speaking at the inauguration of the Farmers’ Cool House Initiative and the Farmers’ Mobile App, developed by the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council (BARC), at the Horticulture Centre in Rajalakh, Savar, he emphasized the role of law enforcement in ensuring public safety. He stated that police and other agencies are working together to prevent unrest and personally patrolled the capital early in the morning to assess security conditions, noting that criminal activity is often higher during early hours. Addressing the recent unrest in the Ashulia industrial zone, he confirmed that the situation had been resolved and there was no ongoing worker dissatisfaction. He also confirmed that the army had been deployed in Ashulia, Savar, and Dhamrai to maintain security. Additionally, he mentioned government measures aimed at protecting agricultural land. The event was attended by Agriculture Secretary Md Emdad Ullah Mia and senior officials from various government and law enforcement agencies.
