Tarique Rahman, the Acting Chairman of the BNP, has expressed his gratitude to Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus for his courteous remarks regarding BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.
On Friday (28 November), Tarique Rahman thanked the Chief Adviser through a post on his verified Facebook page.
In his post, he noted that Begum Khaleda Zia is currently in critical condition and receiving treatment at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka. He mentioned that in a statement issued the same day, Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus conveyed deep concern over her health and urged the people of Bangladesh to pray for her quick recovery.
Tarique Rahman added that Dr. Yunus has been regularly monitoring the health updates of the former three-time prime minister and has instructed concerned authorities to remain fully prepared to ensure all necessary medical support and coordination. According to the statement, the Chief Adviser also said that during this pivotal democratic transition, Begum Khaleda Zia stands as a significant source of inspiration for the nation, making her well-being particularly important.
Expressing his appreciation, Tarique Rahman thanked Dr. Yunus for the kindness and humanity reflected in his statement regarding the ailing BNP Chairperson.
