A public rally by Tarique Rahman is set to take place in London on Tuesday

NP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that Tarique Rahman is expected to return to Bangladesh from London on December 25. Ahead of that return, the BNP’s acting chairperson will take part in a discussion meeting in London on Tuesday (December 16), which is likely to be his final public gathering in the UK before heading home.
The event will be held in observance of Victory Day at the City Pavilion Hall in East London, where Tarique Rahman will attend as the chief guest.
Khusrurzzaman Khusru, joint general secretary of the UK BNP, said supporters are eagerly anticipating what may be Tarique Rahman’s last public appearance in London prior to his return to Bangladesh. He added that extensive preparations have been made to ensure the program’s success.
The meeting will be chaired by MA Malik, adviser to the BNP chairperson and president of the UK BNP. The event will be moderated by Koyser M Ahmed, a member of the BNP’s national executive committee and general secretary of the UK BNP.
Tarique Rahman was arrested following the political changes of 1/11 in 2007. After being released from prison in 2008, he traveled to the United Kingdom with his family for medical treatment and has remained there since.
